I am excited to announce that my first official WordPress plugin has been released! It’s called Socialized and it’s available for download RIGHT NOW from WordPress.org. If you have a WordPress website, simply go to your plugins page and search for Socialized and you’ll find it there too!

So what does it do? What is it for? Why should you use it? Let me tell you the two (2) most important things to know about my new, official WordPress plugin!
First, it adds social media sharing buttons to your posts. “But Tessa, a lot of plugins already do that!” Thank you, hypothetical critic, they do! But my plugin automatically creates vanity URLs that is unique to each and every button so when users share your page using these buttons, you don’t have to worry about using a URL shortener service like Bit.ly. The best part is that it uses 301 redirects, and that means your “page rank” from your SEO efforts are not impacted negatively at all!
The second thing Socialized accomplishes is geared toward those that use Google Analytics. As I mentioned, each button gets its own vanity URL. Each vanity URL uses a 301 redirect that points to the page it’s on with Google campaign parameters so you can easily identify where your traffic is coming from when these links are shared on the various social media platforms.
